Your challenge
If you have experience in processing large, complex financial administrations, compiling the associated financial reports and conducting (data) analyses on these reports, then BDO is the employer for you!
In order to continue delivering adequate, real-time data and figures, service and quality, we are looking for a Senior Assistant Accountant AA who is able to assist and advise our clients in this area. You will be closely supervised and assisted in this role. You will use your knowledge and experience to coach the assistant accountants in their day-to-day work and help them in their further development.

Your daily duties will include:

• Drawing up (complex) financial overviews and working on (complex) administrative assignments;
• Advising clients on how to structure their financial administration;
• Reviewing the work of the Assistant Accountants and organising best practice sessions;
• Focusing on the continuous improvement of the processes within BDO (in accordance with the LEAN principle).

We are looking for someone who can work independently, is passionate about finance, approaches it analytically and also looks beyond the numbers alone. Because you are involved with different administrations and reports, you will need to be able to switch from one to another easily without compromising your accuracy. You are stress-resistant, engaged, flexible and have a strong dose of humour.

• You have made a start on the practical component of the post-HBO AA qualification or are studying for a post-HBO Financial Controller qualification and have at least 4 years of relevant practical experience.

• You have an affinity with, and knowledge of, modern (online) IT systems.
