The opportunity

Do you like to monitor service level performance, and do you have the ability to develop a vision on global services, this role is appealing to you! We are looking for a Management Accounting specialist to deliver great services to our ING Bank wide community.

The team

You will be part of a diverse team of 6 colleagues in Amsterdam, 4 colleagues in Manilla, in a department of in total 15 colleagues. The culture of the team is based on open communication, assisting each other, and looking for improvements in processes. The team consists of 5 nationalities (Portuguese, Netherlands, Turkish, Ukraine, Philippines) which ensures different views and ideas to improve services.

Both teams work to deliver daily / monthly reports including analysis, based on agreed service levels on timeliness and quality. There is close interaction with ING colleagues to conduct the analysis and ensure requested changes are executed.

The Agile way of working in combination with the ING Behaviours is also for management the way forward and offers a lot of opportunity to develop yourself.

Roles and responsibilities

In this role you are the ambassador of the Global Services vision across the COO Risk & Finance organization and beyond. The diversity of responsibilities ensures a helicopter view on the processes being executed both in Amsterdam and Manila. Stakeholders see you as a valuable partner to achieve common goals. For direct colleagues and management, you are the go-to person as you are responsible for the delivery and development of services. For this position you need to be organizational sensitive and require people and leadership skills. Empathy and a positive mindset will help you align with your team and business partners. On top of this you have:

• HBO or Academic level of education

• Knowledge of management accounting

• Experience in managing delivery and development of processes & reports

• Affinity to run and manage operational processes

• Proficient experience in customer services

• Strong communication skills

• Experience in monitoring KPI’s

• Seasoned experience in adhering to internal control frameworks

• Strong process management skills

• Drive to optimize and innovate

• Ability to contribute to the implementation of technical (IT) solutions

• A thorough command of the English language

• Ability to develop a clear vision in a fast-moving international environment

You have:

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in a complex accounting environment.

• University Degree in relevant field.

• Ability to take a leading role within the team on different topics.

• Proven experience in change projects.

• Strong process management skills

• Management accounting knowledge

• Strong with MS Office and affinity with IT systems

• Experience with LEAN and Agile  

• Ability to act and perform successfully in a fast-moving, agile and international environment.
