Your role & work environment

This is a new role in the LT of tribe Lease Market Leaders and the LT of Business Banking Sales NL. The purpose of the role is to steer the total Lease organisation, meaning sales, product delivery and operations. As Head of Lease NL you’ll drive the strategic direction for the Leasing product in general and for NL specific, defining and building the (digital) proposition, financial and non-financial risk, budgeting and P&L, team performance, performance management and engagement within the team(s).

Next to this, you will ‘double hat’ the Lease Sales role in NL. In this capacity you will lead the local sales force in line with the Business Banking and Lease strategy. You will lead the acquisition of new transaction-based clients and the relationship management and development of clients within one or more sectors.

The role leads a collection of teams which have the same or related purpose to achieve national goals in line with Business Banking and Lease strategy.  Periodically you will meet with key client representatives to demonstrate the organization's commitment to its largest and most strategic clients.

You will steer the Dutch part of the tribe Lease and the Lease Sales teams in NL. You will share a collective responsibility to improve ING Business Banking’s performance and identify opportunities to better serve our business clients. You will have an eye on the long term perspective. Together with the Tribe Lead Lease ML and the Head of Business Banking NL, you will translate the Business Banking Strategy and changing client behaviour into Lease business outcomes and ensure you stay on track with the focus on the right priorities. You will proactively anticipate dependencies and collaboration across the entire organisation with the parties that need to contribute to a specific implementation of your business area. You will report the future direction, required capacity and delivery of your business area to overall bank leadership via Quarterly Business Reviews.

Your key responsibilities

As the Head of Lease NL you : 

  • Are a role model strengthening the “ING way of working” while safeguarding the Orange Code.
  • Set the Lease sales NL targets and are responsible for the P&L of Lease NL.
  • Stimulate interaction between people, tribes, sales, operations squads and chapters (within and outside the tribe and sales).
  • Guide the local Lease sales teams for them to develop solutions to complex client issues and to generate new opportunities
  • Support the development and craftsmanship of the Chapter Leads/Expert Leads /Circle lead within the tribe and operations.
  • Are responsible for the Circle Lease in order to facilitate digitization of operations of Lease in NL aiming for an end-to-end digital (work)flow
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders like Tech, sales departments, data partners, FinTechs and product networks.

As the Head of Lease NL your key result areas are: 

  • Together with the Tribe Lead Lease ML setting the strategy for Lease NL and executing the strategy for The Netherlands across segment
  • Further developing and streamlining the product offering; Ensuring effective delivery, including streamlining and digitising the E2E delivery of the Lease products to our clients
  • Taking the next step into digitization of the service model and products. Moving from customised product offering to more standardised product offering but still in line with client needs
  • Building the craftsmanship of the employees in the Tribe and Sales in line with Lease and Business Banking Strategy
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulation and internal/external requirements

Proven track record and technical skills:

  • Master’s degree
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant management experience in the area of Business Banking and/or banking lending products.
  • Building strategic delivery roadmaps, managing multi-disciplinary teams, translating business requirements into IT delivery.
  • Business Banking strategy, Lease products and other business lending products, Management, understanding of IT delivery and architecture, Business Banking UX/CX, Omnichannel banking.
  • Knowledge of Complex credit risk/lending skills
  • Knowledge of legal requirements and compliance regulations
  • Proven experience with the ING Agile Way of Working is a plus
  • Expertise in driving and steering multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven experience in strategic projects with high impact
  • Excellent level of English
