You are responsible for the offering of structured finance products in cooperation with the Relationship Managers of existing and future clients in the ECT Commodity sector. Your product scope ranges from PXF’s to Asset finance, using creativity to formulate tailor made finance solutions and strengthen the client relationship. Next to this, you have a keen eye for possibilities outside of the own department and involve the relevant colleagues and product specialists to increase value in the relationship. Structured Commodity Finance services clients across all our geographies, involving both emerged as emerging markets. You cooperate in joint deal teams with our offices in Amsterdam (where you are based), Moscow, New York, Singapore, Sao Paulo and Dubai. You maintain strong and lasting relationships with clients and prospects in the sector, making sure you optimally contribute to our bank’s profitability, risk control and economic profit results.
You help identify new opportunities and markets and cross-selling opportunities and have a leading role in sourcing, structuring and executing customized financing solutions for our clients. You coordinate complex legal documentation processes and are in constant dialogue with Risk & Portfolio Management, mitigating possible risks. You introduce the bank to new markets and convince us to enter them. You give presentations to internal stakeholders, to clients, and at conferences, supervise and share your knowledge with associates and encourage their personal development. You are a part of dedicated projects that may involve multiple desks. The relative small SCF team has a flexibel and hands-on mentality and cooperates with various Trade Finance desks.
ECT/Commodities Clients finances the physical flow of commodities, from the pre-production stage through to storage, primary processing and distribution. Our customers are producers, international traders, suppliers, primary processors, transporters and buyers. ABN AMRO is one of the leading banks within commodity trade finance. We have offices in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Singapore, Hong Kong, New York, Dubai and Sao Paulo. The management of the bank has identified ECT Clients as growth area. Within this growth strategy, ECT Commodities Clients has allocated resources to further expand product-scope and worldwide coverage. In this strategy, Structured Commodity plays an important role.
Building on a strong relationship with client, we were Lead Arranger in the structured hybrid Project finance of an important Refinery Terminal, realising high profitability for the bank and preparing the ground for further business with client. We were part of various tone setting PXF’s in 2016 supporting key clients, preparing the ground for strong expansion in the PXF arena.
