ABN AMRO has a strongly outsourced IT modal where much of the IT operations are administered by specialized IT vendors. The bank depends heavily on its strategic IT vendors.
In the position of Sourcing & Vendor Manager IT, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the IT sourcing strategy for IT Services. Here you will work closely with IT leaders in the IT infrastructure world of ABN AMRO. Within this Sourcing strategy you manage commercial initiatives, look for sustainability and implement the sourcing results in the IT organization. A crucial part of your work is to create and maintain a structured relationship with your IT suppliers and your stakeholders.
You have deep knowledge of the IT supplier market and follow market development closely and keep track of the needs of the IT organization.
To support your IT stakeholder and control the relevant vendors, strongly developed knowledge of the IT outsourcing agreements and the therewith related financial and commercial consequences are required.
You will become part of the new Procurement Category: IT Services & Market Data team, consisting of 12 professionals with a diverse background. The majority of team focuses on IT Infrastructure platforms, cloud, telecom, networing & security. The other part of the team focuses on the Market Data Portfolio.
Your team is part of the Procurement organization of ABN AMRO, Procurement is a department within the TOPS organization. The department is responsible for implementing all procurement processes (> €50.000), vendor and contract management, administrative recording and strategic procurement advice. Procurement cover all entities within the bank, including international branches and subsidiaries.
The department consists of 70 colleagues and we are located at Gustav Mahlerlaan 10 in Amsterdam. We are result-oriented and have an informal culture.
Procurement connects the needs of the business with the best suppliers to achieve cost-effective and innovative products and services. Procurement is the central purchasing department of ABN AMRO.
