Job description
As a Capital Management specialist you will start within the Capital Management team of the department Capital Management & Modelling of the bank. For your daily business, you will report to the team lead Capital Management and to the manager of the department. Your activities and responsibilities contain performing analyses, reporting and preparing advice for the bank’s management and the ALCO (Asset Liability Committee) of the bank. Since you are working closely with colleagues in the area of ALM and Liquidity Management & Pricing and with colleagues of Model Development,  this role will enable you to grasp the depth and breadth of all balance sheet management activities of the bank, and how the bank is using these activities to achieve the strategic goals.
 
Capital Management
The Capital Management team is responsible for the capital and dividend policy and the coordination of the SREP process for Aegon Bank N.V. As part of the SREP process, the team is responsible for writing the ICAAP. The ICAAP contains the strategic capital plan for the bank and consists of balance sheet, capital and profit projections for the coming strategic cycle under different economic scenarios. An important part of the ICAAP is the bank’s Strategic ALM study. The team advises the ALCO and the board of the bank about optimization of the capital and balance sheet structure of the bank. In this activity, you will work closely together with peers in the Capital Management team of Aegon The Netherlands and Aegon Group. Other responsibilities of the team are, among others,

• Monitoring of the ICAAP and pro-active identification of risks in the implementation of the capital plan;
• Writing and maintaining policy papers on Capital Management and ALM;
• Development of monitoring and reporting dashboards;
• Functional ownership of financial models in the area of Capital Management.

Requirements As a Capital Management specialist you are a real teamplayer and have proven this through past (work/school) activities. Also, you have a strong attention to details and quality, while being result orientated and proactive. Moreover you have:

• A university degree MSc (econometrics or quantitative economics) with above average results;
• Knowledge of financial instruments, financial projections and risk management applications;
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in relevant financial area (medior level);
• Strong analytical skills;
• Pro-active and result orientated.
