Function
As a Business Information Manager, you develop the business information plan which provides an overview of the future vision for Group Finance, translate this future vision into execution and make recommendations on how to realize the department ambitions.
As a Business Information Manager, you are responsible for putting forward innovative solutions and initiate projects in line with the business information plan objectives and advise business management on business innovation opportunities. You work closely with the Group Finance Business Owner, the IT Change & Delivery Director and the Global Domain Architect.
As a Business Information Manager, you also have a key role in challenging our IT partners on the technical solutions proposed and ensuring that Group Finance & IT are aligned from a vision & execution perspective.
Your teamThe primary objective of Group Finance is to provide the Executive Board, Management Board and Supervisory Board of Aegon N.V. with meaningful financial and non-financial information (e.g. capital, income, balance sheet, sales etc) to support the board’s decision making process. To help achieve this objective, Finance and Actuarial implements / maintains adequate reporting systems which enables group / consolidated reporting on key financial metrics based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Solvency II, Aegon’s Market Value Numbers and on sales information. You will be supporting this team to more effectively or efficiently meet these demands, as well as creating solutions for new internal and external demands.
Requirements
As a Business Information Manager, you are an experienced change manager, which includes the ability to inspire people and lead change across a global matrix structure - the ability to work as part of a team and 'roll up his/her sleeves' if required in order to get the job done. You also have excellent communication, negotiation and client relationship management skills.
Moreover, you have the following qualifications:
- Strong financial background from an academic & professional perspective.
- Mastery of consulting and analysis
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience of which minimum of 4 years’ experience in IT – Business alignment
- Industry leading view on information systems and needs as part of the CFO domain (i.e. related to Solvency II, IFRS as an example and developments within financial reporting) but also how emerging technologies in the market play a pivotal role in successful globalization of the relevant processes in your domain
- Fluency in English (both written and oral)
