Your challengeAs a Junior Actuarial Analyst you support the Global Accounting Policy, Methodology and Reporting workstream of the IFRS 17 special project to deliver on the commitments. You support the development of actuarial methodology area around the valuation of insurance liabilities in the context of the upcoming IFRS standards on insurance contracts. This includes working with SMEs to recommend a given methodology, prototyping workable tools for eventual implementation, and producing sound documentation.
As a Junior Actuarial Analyst you take ownership of the financial impact projection model to implement requested changes and documentation and work towards the handover of deliverables under a special project to the eventual business owners throughout the organization.
As a Junior Actuarial Analyst you support the global scrum testing effort as a means of assessing operational impacts, as well as financial impacts and sensitivities for the Group and will help with ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Technical Development ProgramThis position is part of the Technical Development Program. The program is based on job rotation. Every two years, you will switch to another business unit in The Hague: Aegon The Netherlands, Aegon Asset Management, Aegon Group and Aegon Bank. These rotations (3 times max.) facilitate your development as a broad professional. Besides these rotations, we offer you everything to boost your development:

Requirements
As a Junior Actuarial Analyst you have strong analytical skills with hands-on capability. Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills, are process-oriented and have attention to detail. Lastly, you are agile and adaptive in a special project environment.
Moreover, you must have the following qualifications:
- University degree in econometrics/mathematics/actuarial/finance studies;
- 0-2 years working experience in actuarial or financial analysis fields;
- Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets. Programming and database skills are desired;
- Fluency in English (both written and oral).
