The Center of Expertise Pricing & Value Creation is responsible for the commercial pricing, price strategy, the different price structures, price positioning and the price level of all product groups (for example, payment, saving or business loans) and thus for the profit realization of the Domestic Bank.
But pricing goes beyond profit alone. Pricing is also important for
• steering our balance sheet
• steering our credit and market risks
• Influencing customer behavior and associated costs (incentivize or discourage services)
• Influence on price perception of our customers
and this steering the value creation of DB NL.
And all based on the principle that all our prices must be fair and transparent and in line with the regulations and the overall purpose of ING.
The central Pricing & Value Creation department has more than proven its value. But we see many more opportunities! As ING, we must become less dependent on our interest income. We need to make a switch to more fee-based income and other income models. And we want to make the switch to personalized & digital. With Value Based Pricing components based on willingness to pay, behavioral pricing and with cross product price propositions, thus creating more price points. In this way we create value for our clients and for ING.
As an enabler for this strategy the CoE Pricing & Value Creation is implementing EPOS. An Enterprise Catalogue, Pricing and Billing engine that will enable ING to become more flexible, have a shorter time to market and develop more personalized, digital (cross-product) propositions.
The Pricing & Value Creation department of ING DBNL consists of 35 FTE; a mix of Pricing and IT squads. You will lead 2 squads of Pricing Marketeers (total of 13 FTE) and you will be part of the Leadership Team of CoE Pricing & Value Creation XB together with the CoE Lead, Expert Lead Digital & Personal (EPOS) and the Expert/Area Lead Pricing in Belgium.

He or she provides an environment in which people excel. The intended Lead focuses on operational and strategic pricing. The EL/AL Lead Pricing & Value Creation has highly developed analytical skills, a strong network within the bank and earns the respect of the pricing specialists by challenging them and giving them direction.
