About the company

World's leading postal and logistics company located in Maastricht. The Financial Shared Service Center is part of the Express Finance Organization. They provide Finance activities worldwilde to a range of buisness partners within the company. The Financial Accounting department is responsible for all General Ledger related activities for several entities in Europe. The team consist of approximately 35 finance professionals supporting various European countries. 

Your work related tasks 

In the position of Financial Accountant, you'll have the opportunity to apply your knowlegde, develop yourself further within the company and expand your skills.

Your main responsibilities consist of accurate preparation and reporting of monthly financial statements for entities in several countries in Europe in accordance with Accounting principles (IFRS) and Corporate policies. Including preparing several balance sheets accounts and risk management according to the GL guidelines. 

Further you're maintaining charts of accounts and perform account-, sub ledger- and interface reconciliations. Providing support for the analytical review (Balance sheet and Profit & Loss) and perform month-end closing activities according to month-end sheduele. Prepare and process accruals and provisions prepare VAT reporting and perform Statutory Reporting activities. Also you'll support the finance teams in different countries and auditors, regarding financial information.

You'll be working in an enthousiastic team, where you'll give monthly reports of the ongoing activities. The focus is on the month-end report activities which are collected into a centralized reporting tool. These activities are consisting of reviewing and posting accruals, reconciling revenue, reporting statistics, and calculation of provisions.
