As a Service Designer you will conduct qualitative design research using ethnographic and participatory methods and will also lead co-design working sessions with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems. As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Digital, you will form the backbone of our projects and be proactive, resourceful and collaborative in creating high-quality work.

  • Design and conduct qualitative design research using ethnographic and participatory methods and extract meaningful insights
  • Based on customer insight, define the service vision, customer journeys and strategic roadmap to deliver the service features and desired experience
  • Prototype digital and physical solutions for testing and learning with customers
  • Define the design concepts for each service touchpoint in the service
  • Deliver specifications for organizational design from an experience perspective
  • As a senior service designer, you are able to inspire and guide a client and team through the full cycle of service development

What you offer

You are sharp, analytical and focused on substance - a real high-flyer. But your main objective is always to achieve the best result for your clients. To achieve this, you set the bar high for your colleagues and yourself. And you have the necessary skills to achieve this result in collaboration with many stakeholders (in the Netherlands and abroad. As an individual joining our team, we expect that you feel comfortable working in an Agile team, working closely with the client and team members.

Being a Service Designer:

  • You should have a degree in a relevant field (e.g. Service Design, Strategic Design, Social Studies )
  • You have a portfolio demonstrating successful execution of service design from research through to delivery
  • You have the ability to transform research observations into critical insights and actionable recommendations
  • You probably have some consulting experience, although this isn’t essential
  • You have experience designing and facilitating design workshops, presenting to senior stakeholders and running meetings
  • You are a creative problem solver and structured thinker, and comfortable with a hypothesis driven approach
  • You are comfortable in fast-paced, collaborative environments and can be flexible and adaptable in your approach
  • You have excellent communication skills and you’re a natural storyteller – you know how to structure information in a compelling way
  • Technical skills in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Power Point, skill in other tools for rapid prototyping solutions is a plus
  • As a senior consultant you have UX design experience and like diving into the details and focusing on delivery as well as the big picture
