The COO Risk & Finance department delivers Risk & Finance related services to its stakeholders, i.e. Risk, Compliance, Audit, Tax and Group Finance. These services encompass operations and change initiatives, including system, process, data and information management. By design, the services are reliable, secure and in control. Change is delivered in accordance with the Risk strategy and implementation and decommissioning roadmap.

As a BA, you work in a squad covering the whole range of expertise. You like to work in a constructive way in a multidisciplinary squad. Together with your squad members you do everything within your power to realise your common mission day by day and work on the common purpose. The BA reports to the Chapter Lead.

You will be assigned to the Reporting & Data Delivery Solutions squad, which consists of Bus/Dev/Ops functions. The squad is part of the Tribe Management Reporting & Analytics. MR&A is a trusted partner for improving and implementing global processes and products in Risk.

The objective is to deliver data ready for reporting & analytics. You identify, analyze and specify business requirements with regard to non-financial risk reporting and translate them into user stories or functional specification/designs. In this specific function you are also supposed to design, create and update Cognos based reports.

Your daily activities:

  • Requirements analysis:. You make sure that the requirements are complete, consistent, of good quality, that they are translated correctly in the design, and that they are maintained and, if necessary, adjusted if changes occur. You support the product owners and the squads in managing the backlog by translating and prioritising the epics into features and, together with the squad, into user stories
  • Process analysis: You analyse the current situation, the problems that occur and the underlying causes. Based on this analysis, you provide clear process designs.
  • Information analysis: You analyse the necessary input, output, and adjustment of data in the client processes. You analyse the information need. You investigate the quality of the captured data and come up with solutions to improve quality.
  • Risk analysis: You are able to translate the policy and regulation of ORM, Compliance and Legal into design solutions.
  • Dashboarding skills: You have strong data analysis skills, proven experience in data visualisation and prototyping of reports / dashboards, has attention for detail and performs well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
     

How to succeed

  • Performs at HBO or academic level
  • 3-5 years experience as a Business/Information Analyst with Cognos report building skills. ​Able to create functional specifications and has the practical knowledge to design, create and update Cognos reports
  • In-depth knowledge and solid experience with Cognos BI Dashboarding tooling and Data Warehouses
  • Experience in implementing and designing complex functional solutions
  • Excellent understanding of Information Technology (affinity towards IT)
  • Seasoned understanding of Compliance and Operational Risk processes and systems
  • Understands and supports the agile way of working is beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills, written communication and power to convince. Knows what it takes to apply knowledge to market demands, makes complex analysis and translates business requirements into clear and to-the-point user stories
