What impact will you make?

In line with the increased expectations of the public, affirmed by stakeholders within the accounting profession, we continue to enhance our attention for fraud and compliance risks in our audit. You will perform a crucial role in that by supporting our audit teams as an internal specialist, contributing to our auditor's #1 priority: providing excellent audit quality. With your forensic expertise you will challenge audit teams and their clients in the identification and evaluation of fraud and compliance risks. You will also help design audit responses to those risks. When you’re not supporting the audit, you will strengthen your forensic knowledge by leading fraud and misconduct investigations, providing clients with the required guidance and strategical input to manage potential financial and reputational damage and to enhance the organization’s resilience against repetition.

  • playing an expert role in the field of fraud risk management and compliance;
  • guiding/supporting audit teams in detecting and addressing fraud and compliance risks;
  • participating in audit procedures which are aimed to address fraud and compliance risks;
  • and continuously challenging audit teams and clients during the audit.

You primarily share your expertise with the around 80 professionals in the Forensic and Financial Crime practice in Amsterdam, and as part of our Financial Advisory service line. From the Forensic department you will support the Audit department in Amsterdam, consisting of 400 to 500 colleagues, with fraud and non-compliance related matters throughout the audit. What you offer

  • completed your training as an RA (Chartered Accountant);
  • at least 6 years of work experience as an Accountant;
  • knowledge of IFRS and preferably also US GAAP;
  • you have relevant work experience and experience working within financial crime;
  • you know how to find the right balance between listening to the client and asking critical questions;
  • you are able to lead and motivate a team to get the best out of themselves;
  • an excellent command of written and spoken English.
