Job description

As a Sr. Procurement Officer you are responsible for the purchasing category ICT and thus point of contact for the ICT department of Aegon. You also operate in an international network of Procurement colleagues to join forces whenever possible, as Aegon tries to achieve procurement benefits as much as possible on a global level. As a Sr. Procurement Officer  ICT you are responsible for concluding the right purchase contracts up to the transfer to the vendor manager. This of course in cooperation with the client. This is 'right' in the sense of: matching the needs of the business, with the best fit supplier, at the right price, with a correct contract and with a view to building long-term relationships with our suppliers. You also take care of the category plan, monitor and implement the purchasing policy and coordinate the preparation of strategic discussions for our MT members with our top-10 partners.

Team
The Procurement department is moving to a next phase. From advisory, the department will work together with the internal clients to optimize supplier relationships and at the same time challenge them. Procurement wants to create an impact on Aegon's commercial result. The aim is to achieve substantial purchasing savings and to stimulate innovations.

 

Job requirements

As a Sr. Procurement Officer IT you have experience with large complex contract projects with a high spend or sensitivities such as privacy, strategic impact for the organization. You are good at negotiating, have a strong strategic insight and are a true bridge builder.'

• A completed Master’s degree
• At least 8-10 years of work experience as a Procurement Officer within an international corporate.
• Experience with the ICT category is a must; experience with procurement processes for SaaS/Cloud solutions is an advantage.
• Execution force and you know what 'ownership' is;
• Strong communication skills, you are externally oriented and you can be businesslike on the content and soft on the relationship.
