Treasury team lead | IR & FX risk management in Amsterdam

Role and responsibilities 

Group Treasury is the department that operates at the heart of the bank. Its purpose is to safeguard a healthy balance sheet, such that commercial units can support our clients to arrange their finance.

You lead the Interest rate Risk Management & Capital Hedging team (IRM&CH). A team of seven enthusiastic professionals that is responsible for managing the interest rate risk on ING’s Dutch balance sheet (200 billion Euro), replicating the own equity of ING Group (50 billion) and managing the FX translation risk at Group level. The team is located in the Amsterdam dealingroom and operates in an extremely volatile environment. Never a dull moment!

The team works agile. we are fast and flexible. And we operate as a true team, not a set of individuals. But also outside the team contacts are plentiful: we are in daily contact with colleagues from other Treasury teams and with our business partners from Finance and Risk.

You are a member of the Management Team of IRM&CH, having global oversight of interest rate & foreign exchange risk management. Based on your expertise, you are globally responsible for certain functional areas. In this respect, you are in frequent contact with other Treasury teams across the globe, ranging from New York to Sydney.

• University degree in economics or a similar qualification in the banking sector
• 10 Years of professional experience in the treasury of a bank, 5 years of leadership
• Passionate about financial markets
• Analytical and holistic mindset coupled with a high degree of motivation and initiative
• Team player with the ability to prioritize and work independently
• Know-how of Bloomberg, Murex, Summit and Excel
• Excellent communicator; making complex matters look simple
• Master the English language, both written and spoken
