Business Analysts for Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DGS)   in Amsterdam

The opportunity 

You will participate in a squad as a Business Analyst (Finance Expert) within DFT. You will be actively involved in the maintenance, development and realization of current & new products and services in the light of the Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DGS) obligations. As an expert, you deliver the necessary knowledge and skills to make standard and best in class products and services for your users. Besides that, you continuously deepen and broaden your knowledge and skills in your area of expertise within your chapter.  

Your activities will be in the area of Regulatory reporting, more specifically reporting related to the Deposit Guarantee Scheme . You set detailed (data) requirements together with functional analysts  You will support the development and configuration of the solution  and execute acceptance and other testing. You will be involved in Change & Run the bank activities  and supporting daily, monthly and quarterly validations of data (timeliness, correctness, completeness, reconciliations, ledger)  

Role and responsibilities 

Your main activities will be on:

• Read and understand regulatory requirements
• Requirement gathering and elicitation
• Delivering functional specifications
• Data mapping and validation (SQL) 
• Execute user acceptance testing 

​Furthermore you will focus on:

• Collaboration with stakeholders (Discuss with Policy and Procedure, Group Finance)   
• Develop and/or maintain documentation to demonstrate test of effectiveness functionality for different stakeholders   
• Convert regulatory requirement to Technology requirement. Translate (solution) designs into IT solutions  
• Bridge with TECH and BAU team  
• Second line support

You will build a clear vision on the area of expertise of the squad, including both excellent Finance knowledge and knowledge of assets and tooling used. You have a strong drive to keep your expertise up to date and have the ambition to continuously improve yourself on a personal and professional level.  

We are looking for experienced analyst. We require a proven track record in data analysis and delivering regulatory reporting solutions. Sourcing, classifying & preparing transactional as well as Banking Accounting data for Finance, Risk. Experience in building and maintaining data requirements regarding Statutory and Regulatory Reporting. Knowledge of and experience with Change delivery (impact analysis, configuration, testing).

Furthermore you have:  

• University (Bachelor’s/Master’s) degree in (business) economics or a comparable field 
• Hands on proficient level of experience on SQL and MS Excel
• Ability of thorough understanding of logical Data Models and Modelling
• Ability to (re)design and improve financial reporting business processes
• Retail Banking products knowledge from accounting and financial reporting perspective is essential
• Working knowledge on any Data Driven reporting preferably DGS (Deposit Guarantee Scheme) is essential
• Working knowledge on Regulatory Reporting – preferably FINREP   
• Experience with functional UAT testing   
• Knowhow of Agile and Scrum, strong requirements management skills  
• Excellent Communication skills, written communication and power to convince (in English);
• Result driven and structured worker who is focused on the delivery and eager to work with details on Data quality and reporting
