Vacancy: Group Treasury Finance

Centre of Expertise QRM & Forecasting

with the possibility to move to Finance Group Treasury after two years

Would you like to broaden your financial skills and get a better understanding of our banking products and treasury across various ING locations? Do you want to learn more about finance forecasting? Would you like to work on a dynamic project with tight deadlines?

We are looking for a finance QRM ambassador working for Finance Group Treasury and who will be a member for the QRM Fabuleux team. QRM One Standard is a strategic program within ING and our goal is to develop bank wide forecasting of net interest income and stress testing capabilities that is used by both finance and risk. We are responsible for the rollout of QRM, the standard bank wide tool used to accomplish this goal, to all locations within ING.

The focus of this role will be on the finance stakeholder management towards local senior management, coordinate and support the finance implementation of QRM towards countries, so that they can use QRM in their finance net interest income forecast. Furthermore, to support the countries that are already using QRM for the Net Interest Income (NII) forecasting with running simulations and performing analyses.

Role and responsibilities

In your role you will become a member of the Amsterdam based rollout squad (7 people). In close cooperation with the local finance teams you will work on the implementation of QRM to several locations. You liaise with local senior management and coordinate the implementation. During the implementation your work includes validating the results of the NII forecast together with the local finance team, ensuring a correct input for on client volumes, client pricing and market rates. This is an iterative process of analyzing the results, defining gaps, and solving issues that might arise.

You will need to understand the local requirements and embed the new tooling and processes locally. You will get a thorough insight in how a finance forecast is made on product level, how the replication works and which factors impact the NII income. For those countries that are already using QRM you will support the forecast process by performing simulations on e.g. the impact of changing market rates, higher product growth or different pricing strategies and by analyzing NII output. Good communications and stakeholder management are key for a success.

Since you will be working with the QRM tool, you will also need some time to learn and understand how the model works and being able to perform forecasting runs and set up NII reports.

Your work environment

The QRM program adapted the agile way of working in which various squads have been defined. These are high performing, self-steering teams working closely together towards achieving project deliverables. You will be part of a team of professionals from Finance, Risk and IT. Frequent interaction with global and local stakeholders is part of the job.
