ING Investment Office Market Leaders (Investment Office) develops and formulates ING's central investment view and manages ING’s discretionary investment strategies. The Investment Office develops investment views based on a combination of fundamental and sustainability analysis. Since 2008, it has firmly established itself as an expertise center in the market for (wealthy) individual investors. Investment Office Market Leaders is based in Amsterdam, Brussels, and Luxembourg with a total of approximately fifty employees. More than half of them are located at ING's head office in Amsterdam Zuid Oost which will also be your base. What you’ll do

As a Sustainable Investment Analyst at the Investment Office you will be jointly responsible for ING's sustainable investment policy. You analyze equities, bonds, and investment funds on their sustainability characteristics. You will calculate sustainability scores and report on our voting and engagement policies and activities. You advise the financial analysts and portfolio managers on financial instruments and investment portfolios. You will also contribute to policy development, assess and implement changes in legislation and insights and participate in international working groups on this subject (particularly within ING).

How to succeed

You are an expert in investing, but above all in sustainability. You know what the most important sustainable developments are and how they affect the economy and businesses. You know how to translate these developments into a vision of what a sustainable company is. You can easily convert this information into analyses, which are easy to read, applicable and relevant for both internal and external clients. Your recommendations are used in the various investment portfolios.

As a Sustainable Investment Analyst at the ING Investment Office, you will contribute to strengthening the sustainable investment policy within the Investment Office and beyond. To do so, you'll work with advisors, other departments, and other organizations. The goal is to strengthen ING’s position as a modern, sustainable investment bank.

Your profile: intrinsically sustainable, knowledgeable, and accurate, with a sense of (international) cooperation

We are looking for an analyst with a strong and demonstrable affinity for sustainability, an interest in investments and financial markets and good verbal and written communication skills. Someone who can articulate the sustainable component in investing and helps to further develop the ING Investment Office's sustainability strategy, both nationally and internationally.

You have a master’s or bachelor’s degree and work experience in a research or advisory role in the field of sustainability and/or investments. You also have a good knowledge of Excel and a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing.
