Job description

As an intern in our Business Control & Advice team, you will be involved in:

• Analyses of Treasury financials and the outlook (forecast) of the several underlying Treasury portfolios.

• Ad-hoc advice toward the Treasury business.

• Strengthening the analysis capabilities capturing the impact of the highly volatile financial markets by creating relevant dashboards. 

• Analysis and control process of Treasury financials in ING’s Annual Report and

• Cost control monitoring of the Issuance portfolio.

Who are we looking for?

• A candidate in the final phase of an Economics / Finance orientated study program (WO).

• Affinity with Finance and Financial Markets and building on your analytical skills.

• A hands-on mentality.

• Persistent and pro-active Team Player.

• Fluent in English with good communication and writing skills.

• Working experience in finance preferred but not required.

Who are we? 

The Business Control & Advice team consists of Finance experts with an interest in, and thorough understanding of, Treasury and Banking activities. As a team we analyze and control the financials of the Treasury in the Netherlands. Using the analysis and controls we make; we are a trustable advisor to Treasury. We switch between various perspectives when working together with a broad range of stakeholders (Treasury business, Group Finance, External Auditor and Service Center). We can zoom out to the bigger picture, not shy to dive into detail and understand sensitivities. We can translate complexity into a clear storyline for outsiders. In doing so, we employ our soft skills with regards to communication and teamwork.

You will join a small though diverse team, acting in a very dynamic and interesting environment. Together we are ambitious to stay on top of Treasury.

Applicants need to be an EU national or non-EU students enrolled in a Dutch university. Interns need to be registered as a student with an educational institution for the entire duration of the internship.
