Group Treasury – MR&E –Treasury Markets Advisor in Amsterdam

The opportunity
MR&E takes the lead in bringing the market risk profile within risk appetite through the execution of transactions across a broad range of products, assets, and liabilities. This encompasses short-term funding access, cash and collateral management, ensure adherence to regulatory liquidity metrics, interest rate risk management, balance sheet management, execution of funding plan and many others. These jobs carry out similar activities on opposite sides of balance sheet. MR&E in NL has a central and coordinative role within the funding and liquidity framework and over the years more and more execution activities have been centralized. To ensure further efficiency gains and a harmonized one-way of working across the locations the implementation of the GT Target Operating Model (GT TOM) is key. MR&E is now looking to add a Treasury Markets Advisor to the team to support us in achieving our targets and objectives.

Role and responsibilities

While supporting senior management and LM&MM operational teams, Treasury Markets Advisor is first go-to person for a set of locations and business lines. For the locations that have centralised Group Treasury activities, Treasury Markets Advisor is responsible for adherence to statement of services and requirements that come with it (this includes organizing the service review meetings). Next to that he will be the trusted business advisor of local ALCO’s and management and will act as SPOC for the centralized locations.

• Provide advice to local management about the impact of market developments on the local balance sheet and business portfolios
• Serve as escalation point for local business and management concerning services provided by GT NL
• suggesting and implementing improvements to processes and ways of working
• Support design and implementation of GT TOM
• being involved in handling ad hoc initiatives and urgent requests
• Acting  as a linking pin with other business lines Change programs and make handshakes with GT programs. You develop and maintain networks and, in doing so, ensure that MR&E Change adapts to developments within the organization.
• being the point of contact for a range of topics and determine their impact on stakeholders and the action to be taken
• support the units in the execution of the GT target operating model implementation

• Academic or HBO degree in business economics (or similar)
• Solid knowledge of Professional Bank Treasury/Financial markets cash and liquidity management knowledge.
• Understanding of FX products and markets
• Understanding of fixed income markets.
• Understanding of derivatives/collateral management/repos and intra-day liquidity management
• Knowledge of risk management (trading, credit, market risk)
• In-depth knowledge of Excel & VBA
• 40 hour work week
