ING C&G Finance Amsterdam is looking for an Accounting ＆ Reporting Expert II

The opportunity

Working in the team requires interaction with many internal stakeholders (finance departments in countries and business lines, MBB, RMT, Risk, Capital Management, Bank Treasury, Corporate Strategy, COO, Group Finance, COORF and Investor Relations).

Generates and issues management information in the field of MA in timely and high qualitive manner. Advises on financial and business challenges, like FTE & costs monitoring and Tracking (providing full transparency, improve data quality and prepared decision slides).

She / he will be the relationship manager for one of the C&G countries: assist in building up a good relationship with the country. Keep a fluent communication, being available for any question or request they may have. Maintain regular calls with countries. Ensure quality of comments for different reports (Flash, STT, PD, etc.) and help raise the standard to meet best in class.

The team

The C&G Finance team consists of 12 Finance professionals, all with their own expertise and generally with +5 years of experience at various levels of the organization. The team is a primarily a Management Accounting & Advice department and is characterized as a horizontal and flexible organization in order to adapt to the changing environment and priorities. Given the stakeholders of the department, values such as taking ownership of responsibilities and quality control are clearly embedded within the culture of the department.

Roles and responsibilities

Relationship management with the Retail countries (act / RFC / DP / SD)

Projects / Business case

• Act as financial controller for one of the smaller projects, running at HO

• Assist in Business case validation, monitoring & reporting

HO Functions support

• You are responsible for the communication and support to one of our C&G function heads. Being a business partner and providing both challenge and support

Other MA responsibilities

• Contribute to the monthly Flash reports, safeguard that the quality of our comments and reports, should be flawless and efficient, including relevance of visions and with insightful analysis. Increase the speed and robustness of our numbers

• Assist in Townhall, ECB and other presentations

• Responsible for the coordination of the quarterly Rack & Stack reports, safeguard that the quality of our comments and reports, should be flawless and efficient, including relevance of visions and with insightful analysis. Increase the speed and robustness of our numbers.

• Cost & FTE management; help managing the costs of our countries to DP.

• Actively being involved in the RFC / Dynamic Plan processes, develop leading indicators helping the RB Business-lines to steer before the fact, improving forecasting capabilities.

• Assist senior management with ad hoc requests, financial analyses and provide solutions to complex issues. Performing deep dives in order to get better understanding of the business / financials

How to succeed

• Minimum of 2 years of similar experience

• Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

• Strong communication skills and a great team player

• University degree level of thinking

• Fluent in English language is a must
