Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

Within FM, the Client Solutions Group (CSG) consists of set of specialised derivative experts, one of these is the EMEA Investment Solutions team, based in Amsterdam. The Investment Solutions platform is a key growth pillar of FM globally and especially in EMEA is in the middle of a shift towards a more sustainable product offering for the ING client base.

Your role

As Vice President CSG Investment Solutions EMEA, you are responsible to grow the structured Products, OTC Derivatives and Sprinters franchise within FM EMEA, from a P&L perspective, as well as in terms of the sustainable product offering and are required to develop and offer high value add structured solutions to ING’s clients.

Your key responsibilities

CSG Investment solutions is the linking team between clients, trading, credit exposure management, the Wholesale bank sectors, senior management, and also the different sales locations in EMEA.

  • Sales and marketing of structured products (i.e. swaps, notes, OTC options) to internal clients while selectively expanding towards external clients;

  • Mandate includes the distribution of the full scope of structured solutions across all asset classes;

  • Product Understanding: The candidate should have a strong knowledge of Cross-Asset Product & Solutions and should be able to interact daily with Trading to develop and sell non-flow solutions. The candidate should possess attention to detail;

  • Communication skills: Candidate should have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to partake to trainings sessions, product presentations in front of large audience (i.e. FM Sales, Private Bankers or Relationship Managers);

  • Client Coverage & Sales: Work alongside FM sales to assess client needs and develop and expands client coverage and relationships on cross-asset solutions with a focus on non-flow solutions. Seeks to onboard new clients and expand both new and existing sales mandates. Detects business opportunities arising from local regulations/market dislocations etc.;

  • Market Intelligence: Has a clear view on the client segment, activity, and industry trends to optimize and maximize our revenue generation and client coverage. Conveys market intelligence, relevant regulatory, legal, tax knowledge and issues to internal stakeholders;

  • Post-trade coordination: Coordinates with support functions and ensures the soundness and accuracy of the post trade process (bookings, documentation, risk consumption, etc.);

  • Pricing: Structure and price of derivative structures with a strong understanding of the risks related to the underlying solutions;

  • Expanding: implementation of the relevant growth plans (i.e. automation of pricing, client expansion and internal & external client coverage).

Furthermore you meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree in econometrics, business economics, financial engineering, and/or CFA or equivalent academics

  • 7+ years experience and deep knowledge of and experience in financial markets, structured products and derivatives

  • Empathic team player with good communication skills

  • Entrepreneurial and commercial drive, mindset, hands-on and creative

  • Eager to learn and share knowledge with colleagues, ready to grow junior staff

  • Ability to work independently on various transactions/projects at the same time, often under pressure, and to prioritize resources accordingly

  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing, Dutch/French speaking will be considered a plus

  • Attention to detail - Properly input deals in IT systems, in an exhaustive manner, pays particular attention to the correctness of term sheets and the credit processes

  • Keep operational risks and errors close to zero if possible

  • Autonomous and reliable in dealing with client relationship

  • Ability to present the business at senior level both externally and internally
