Senior Sales Advisor FX Sales - Amsterdam

Your job

Your work will revolve around our clients. You'll price and implement currency transactions for financial institutions and commercial clients. You'll be in day to day contact with the client, with whom you'll discuss current market information to help him make better decisions. You'll build a sustainable, strategic relationship with your client and take initiatives. You'll also be responsible for coaching the FX Sales team in conjunction with the team lead. You'll work with other CMS and Corporate Banking sales teams to put together acquisition plans aimed at further developing your relationships with clients. You'll regularly visit clients together with a Relationship Banker to further strengthen customer loyalty. You'll also look for ways to optimise the customer journey (through all channels) and take initiatives to further improve our service to the client.

Your working environment

The FX Sales department is part of ABN AMRO Capital Markets Solutions, where it's responsible for providing a currency service to financial institutions, (large) corporates and clients in the energy, commodity and transport (ECT) sectors. Our team consists of 10 FX Sales Advisers. We work closely with Relationship Managers, our colleagues in Trading and the Risk, Documentation and Treasury Sales departments. The FX Sales team was established in November 2014, so it's still quite new, and we're working to optimise its composition. All the team members have a wealth of experience in treasury and will be happy to assist and advise you. The atmosphere is open, direct and positive, and we're looking to create a team that's highly diverse.

Your profile

You have the ability to agree favourable prices for the client's currency transactions quickly and efficiently. You are client-led with a fast, accurate response. You enjoy coaching people. If you think this sounds like you, check your profile:

  • At least 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience;
  • Knowledge of (business) economics up to HBO/university level, and registered (or willing to be registered) with the Dutch Securities Institute (DSI);
  • Knowledge of industries and sectors, price-product ratios, relevant legislation and regulations and developments on the money and capital markets;
  • Knowledge of treasury, risk management and other relevant banking products and solutions.
