The Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services (CM AAS) Department of KPMG provides high quality accounting advisory services to a broad range of clients across all sectors.  Our service offering includes support and advice in respect of the implementation of new accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 9, 15 and 16), GAAP conversions, pre and post-merger/acquisition support, carve out or acquisition accounting (IFRS 3), finance transformations, accounting paper support etc.  We usually work closely together with our Department of Professional Practice (DPP), Transaction Services, US Accounting and Reporting Group, Financial Management and the valuations experts of Corporate Finance.

CM AAS provides a unique opportunity for professionals with a few years of (audit) experience who wish to further develop their consulting skills and customer relationships with a focus on complex accounting issues.

The CM AAS unit focuses on (inter)national corporates and large companies. We operate in the market of Corporate, National practice and Public sector.
In the position of (Senior-) manager, you will work on challenging issues that are often in the field of the Financial controller, Manager finance and accounting or comparative roles, both internal and external projects, as well as researching, facilitating, reporting and advising are your core activities.
You will be involved in the broad range of CM AAS services and offerings to our clients. You are able to serve large (inter)national clients and lead multidisciplinary teams to improve the overall customer experience and satisfaction. You are involved in all stages in the advisory process: as a contact in the acquisition phase, an interlocutor in the analysis and design phase and as a partner in the execution and delivery phases. You know what the client needs and can translate it into the appropriate services. You follow technical accounting and market developments closely and have a leading role in the further development and growth of the CM AAS unit. Both internally and externally you are seen as an expert and you are able to expand the existing client portfolio.

• You possess an accountancy, (business) economics, business administration or econometrics bachelor or master degree and/or are a Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
•  You have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience either in the audit practice or an internal or external advisory role focused on financial external reporting.
•  You have an above average knowledge and interests in IFRS and Dutch GAAP. Knowledge and experience in US GAAP is an advantage but not a must
• You are a person who likes to work with a variety of colleagues from different units/backgrounds within KPMG and you are able to expand this cooperation.
• You are a creative thinker and have a real hands-on mentality.
• Integrity, personal credibility and resilience are important personal characteristics that you possess.
• Providing quality work is your top priority.
• You are able to work independently and effectively within a team and have strong communication skills in both Dutch (preferable but not mandatory) and English.
• You are willing to follow internal and external training and occasionally to work on projects abroad.
