Job description
As a member of a team of specialists, you will conduct on-site inspections at banks in response to the results of risk assessments. During an on-site inspection, we carry out an in-depth assessment of a financial institution’s specific risks and/or control functions on a project basis. Team compositions vary between inspections and we may ask you to participate in inter-European inspections. Experts may also be asked to join international working groups involved in specific components of IRRBB and liquidity supervision. This multifaceted position provides ample opportunities for broadening your knowledge, experience and skills.
Your principal responsibilities as a financial risk expert banking are:
- Conducting on-site examinations at various banks in a team of specialists.
- Reporting your findings and presenting critical conclusions.
- Reinforcing our supervisory teams with your expertise in ALM, IRRBB and liquidity.
- Keeping up your knowledge and actively sharing it with your DNB colleagues.
You have strong analytical skills, are an independent thinker and quick to filter out the essentials from secondary issues. You are pragmatic, result-oriented and you enjoy teamwork in alternating compositions. You have good communication skills, maintain a firm position in discussions and are open to different opinions.
- Master’s degree in econometrics, financial economics or any other relevant field with a major analysis or mathematics component.
- At least five years’ relevant work experience in the financial sector, gained preferably at a bank or alternatively at a prominent risk consultancy agency for banks.
- Good knowledge of bank ALM, IRRBB and/or liquidity risk.
- Excellent oral communication skills and writing skills in English.
