Your jobYou are responsible for end to end processing of complex guarantees from prospect to closing. You make sure to involve all relevant parties whenever necessary. In that respect you liaise with legal, risk, account management and commercial support departments. You work with a wide range of global customers in Commodities & Trade Finance, Energy and Transportation to fulfill their wide range of bank guarantee requirements. Such guarantees can originate from any of our global offices. You draft texts and assess those provided by our customers on compliance with URDG and other relevant rules and regulations. Wherever you identify risks that are outside boundaries set by our risk policies you provide workable solutions that meet customer requirments and our required risk profile and liaise with all relevant parties to implement them. You make sure we are in control of our guarantees portfolio at all times. You support colleagues in our global Trade Finance teams on all guarantees related questions and issues. You are an ambassador for the guarantees product accross the business line. As a member of the Trade Finance team you also take on more generic tasks for the development of the department where needed.
Your working environmentYou work in a sub team of 2 guarantee specialist as part of an operational Trade Finance support department consisting of around 20 colleagues. You work from the Rotterdam office, but will frequently reside in Amsterdam to work with the teams there and support a global customer base.
