To further strengthen our Corporate Development team, we are looking for an experienced M&A professional. In your Corporate Development role, you are responsible for ABN AMRO’s M&A activities: among others the analysis of content and process of investments and divestments, as well as strategic projects and business propositions. In addition, execution of ad hoc projects and analysis of market opportunities in line with our strategy are part of the job.The Corporate Development team of ABN AMRO is instrumental in executing the strategy to optimally position ABN AMRO for the future. The team works in close co-operation with the managing board and senior management. The Corporate Development role is to ensure that decisions taken and subsequent completion of M&A and divestments deals fit the strategy of the group. The deals represent a value that may vary from tens to hundreds of millions of euros.What do you see when you envision the next step? The core activities of the Corporate Development role include:

• Support the execution of M&A, divestment deals and material strategic transactions including strategic fit evaluation, submission and evaluation of bids, negotiations with targets and control of post-merger integration/divestment planning;
• Analysis of and advising on complex and major business propositions;
• Work with and within cross-functional teams including external specialists in the execution of M&A deals;
• Develop and maintain relationships essential for the execution of M&A deals, divestments and strategic transactions. Internally for example Legal, IT, Finance, Audit, Tax, as well as external parties such as advisors and corporate development departments of other financial institutions;
• Provide appropriate support in the identification and/or progression of frontline M&A deals, divestments and strategic transactions;
• Set up and use a comprehensive set of M&A management protocols and standards.
