As a Team Leader Finance Operations, you manage a growing team of 5 employees gathering and consolidating SII financial and non-financial information of Aegon N.V, including preparation of consolidated reports and automated validation checks aimed at ensuring reporting and data quality
As a Team Leader Finance Operations, you maintain Gloria (the SII reporting environment, containing the underlying applications) from a business perspective and ensuring a cycle of continuous improvement to Gloria related processes and controls. You identify and implement additional efficiencies to the SII reporting process that will add control or increase performance or usability.
As a Team Leader Finance Operations you will closely liaise with Aegon’s technology partners to have oversight on the resolution of any technical issues that could impact group reporting. Additionally, you have a key role in owning the evidencing of controls as per our documented framework and identifying the need for additional, or revised controls. Furthermore, you are not only responsible for managing the planning & execution of all aspects of the teams responsibility, but is also hands-on and part of the team.
The department Finance & Actuarial is part of Group Finance. The primary objective of Group Finance is to provide the Executive Board, Management Board and Supervisory Board of Aegon N.V. with meaningful financial and non-financial information (e.g. capital, income, balance sheet, sales etc) to support the board’s decision making process. To help achieve this objective, Finance and Actuarial implements / maintains adequate reporting systems which enables group / consolidated reporting on key financial metrics based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Solvency II, Aegon’s Market Value Numbers and on sales information.
As a Team Leader Finance Operations you have a strong finance expertise (especially with regards to SII reporting and finance systems). Also, you are confident, have excellent communication and influencing skills and you are able to manage all stakeholders. Furthermore, you embraces change and can lead others towards change.
