Wanted: Junior Officer Payments with good command of English (and Turkish/Dutch) in Amsterdam

Our client is an European bank established in Amsterdam. They are looking for a junior officer payments! Do you have affinity with banking payment products? And are you up for a challenge? Then this maybe the job for you!

1 - 40 uur per week

What are you going to do:

Our client is an European bank established in Amsterdam, since 1990 and serves to retail, corporate and institutional clientele. They offer financial solutions to their customers and counterparties in the areas of trade and commodity finance, cash management, private banking, treasury, and structured finance.

The vacancy is in the operations team. You will be responsible for inputting daily transactions and controlling and authorizing the daily transactions when necessary. You will also assist the supervisor about managing the normal/urgent transactions and cut-off times by making necessary prioritizations.

You will also responsible for;

  • Assisting the Supervisor/Senior Officer about solving the problematic issues;
  • Communicating with the other departments in the bank when necessary;
  • Communicating with the correspondent banks when necessary;
  • Making / controlling the bookings for the reconciliations of the bank’s Nostro accounts with respect to the Payment transactions;
  • Making inquiries, answering the received inquiries to/from correspondent banks;
  • Suggesting system enhancements to improve process quality of the Payments work flow.

  • A bachelor degree;
  • Experience in banking payment products, SWIFT and domestic payment systems is an asset;
