The Grid Owner Data Analytics’ key responsibility is to lead multiple agile teams, provide vision & direction and initiate the development of new products and services. Key part of this role is the alignment with the business, since customer satisfaction is a key objective. Other objectives are achieving higher efficiency, realize cost reduction, maximizing the value and the delivery of new & innovative products.


Your working environment

The area of responsibility of the Grid Owner is just below the MG-positions of the business lines. Our grids are positioned to deliver value for both the business and IT. The grids are characterized by focusing on either value proposition (focus to initiate new delivery and improvement of existing propositions for our customers), value delivery (focus of value creation for all our customers, sales, service, systems in our grid) or value enabling (focus on the delivery of new capabilities and platforms). Both business and IT are expected to work agile and each grid will have a Product Owner. The Product Owner has the mandate to set the priorities and is expected to work closely together with the Grid Owner. The responsibility of the Grid Owner to ensures cross-functional alignment of the different teams, goals and execution. This requires coordination with the different product owners, stakeholders and business. Key objective is to set the right priority and balance between short-, long-term focus, client interest and bank interest. Part of the responsibility is to also manage colleagues, which will be working inside the grid, but belong to different departments.

Your work
  • Oversee the overall organization’s data management strategy
  • Follow external developments, latest innovations and technical developments. Translate these developments into a long-term vision and strategy based on the business objectives.
  • Maximize the value of the different teams by optimizing processes to ensure that the delivery of data and value creations happens smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage the portfolio based on forecasts and budgets.
  • Monitor the (financial) performance of the different teams and mentors to ensure excellence and professional development
  • Business application owner: end responsibility to take decisions for SLA’s, Risk Management, solve findings and set requirements for new applications. Lead by example.
  • Implement Agile Way of Working: Take responsibility to implement our Agile Way of Working in every grid. Again, leading by example is the expected best practice.
  • Teaming: You are expected to motivate, create a safe working environment, give feedback, create vision, be transparent and lead by example.
Your profile
  • University degree with minimum 10 years of relevant experience, at least 5 years of management experience.
  • Experience in Process Management, Lean techniques, Delivery Excellence, and Agile (Scrum).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Data Analytics.
  • Very strong stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of business administration, planning, control and financial services.
  • Knowledge of business- and IT architecture, process design, process management and human resource.
  • Knowledge of business models and principles.
  • Relevant IT knowledge and experience.
