Your impact as a Financial Accounting Specialist at NN Group

The Financial Accounting team is responsible for ensuring that all actual (IFRS) monthly and quarterly financial data is timely, accurately and completely available at the consolidated level of NN Group for senior management and other internal stakeholders. You will contribute to the preparation and publication of NN Group’s quarterly interim accounts and the content and the preparation of the Annual Accounts, part of NN Group’s Annual Report. In addition, you will actively be involved in the execution, development and maintenance of NN Group’s consolidation and reporting system.

You coordinate activities and the reporting process for the colleagues and departments involved. At the same time, you develop new (standard) reports and identify opportunities for further improvement.

What your investments deliver

You will work with us to:

• Realise accurate month-end closings in time;
• Discuss findings with other departments involved in the value chain;
• Consult management regarding compliance aspects of financial reporting and discuss issues in these matters with internal and external stakeholder;
• Maintain adequate supporting documentation and evidence of the closing process.

Critical skills of a Financial Accounting Specialist

As we operate in a rapidly changing environment, you have a serious interest in changes in financial reporting and data(IFRS 9 and 17) and more importantly how data affects our processes. You can rely on your analytical talent, which gives you a strong foundation for valid arguments. Fortunately, you also possess strong communication skills which help you to express yourself clearly in both Dutch and English. You submit proposals for implementing improvements and innovative solutions in a clearly defined scope and context. With a certain amount of creativity and courage, you help our financial accounting and reporting processes to the next level.

You have at least a bachelor’s degree in Finance. You have experience with accounting and (consolidation) reporting processes in the field of IFRS as well as relevant tooling (Oracle would be beneficial). A background in the financial audit would be a plus.
